I think Solana started as something else, but ... now SBF seems to be a Solana ambassador after he chose Solana for Serum. If you check on Swerve
snapshot.pagecodecode they say SBF offered them a grant to move to Solana, and they voted to take it!
Is SBF somehow related to Solana? But I can see your point. Makes sense. That's how Binance Smart Chain evolves. They provide the launchpad and other projects are doing the dirty work and bring the users.
Honestly, all the so-called killers have promised speed and scalability yet all the huge pull remains functional in Ethereum . Network effects are difficult to surmount. I am not sure Solana will end up being much more than another Binance Smart Chain.
How is the project really benefit form Solana? Speed/Scalability? Does really faces these issues?
They should just bring NomiChef back. Look at how many projects have forked MasterChef. Unless .... NomiChef is ... 🤯
SushiSwap still has a chance to come back. But they will need to bring something new to the table. Not only farming menu but something that will spark the interest of the community.
Don't know it either. But these DeFi/Yield farming projects are gaining popularity and therefore are creating new work positions. It all starts with contributors.
True that. Unfortunately, he killed the price momentum of the project. Trust is the most important asset in Crypto. That is why Uniswap gets away with charging 0.30% in fees.
When someone pulls out at the pick to benefit themself without letting the community know these terms in advance – it is a scam. Life is risky 😂
New application interface & new omakase from chef
It's been a busy week in crypto full of pumps, dumps, twists, hacks memes and much more. And it couldn't be less busy for the SushiSwap . Here is a short summary of important for the community things in my first thread on Holdex. Excited 🙈
I don't understand why people are hating so much at this point. 🤷♂️ Because the reward was lowered? The ROI is still way above every other DeFi products.
There was a proposal to give a box 🍱to Uniswap creators as a sign of gratitude . Not sure if it was approved by the community though. Good to see the product being governed by community.
Some of the community dashboards are quite impressive and original. @zippoxer's #SushiBoard is super useful! 🍣
It is unfortunate that the community DAO features like the #Omakase for were not thought-of deeply when making the smart contracts. So many variables meant for governance are hardcoded and not upgradeable. Big oversight by @NomiChef
I am still torn to support even if I like the idea because of the "vampire mining" 🧛🏻♂️. I think it is disrespectful to @haydenadams and those in @UniswapProtocol who took years to build this codebase and liquidity.
I don't think I would have ever trusted #SushiSwap if @SBF_Alameda hadn't taken over — rug-pulls by the founder are an insult all who #buidl on this space 😡
Scam? Maybe not anymore. Every DeFi platform is risky in its way. You can't call risk a scam. 🤷♂️
SushiSwap is a fork of Uniswap with some key differences – most notably, the token. The token has two functions at launch: entitling holders to governance rights and a portion of the fees paid to the protocol. In a simplified way, holders “own” the protocol.
